Green Bay Packers

Updated: Sep 4, 2018

2017

You know Aaron Rodgers and The Pack want to exact some revenge on The Falcons after not one but two beat downs last season. Let us hope that they fail a third time.

While the game plays out, enjoy this week's pizza!

Spicy Green Bay Packers Pizza

Crust

This week I used Mama Mary's pizza crust. It is ready to bake. I found these flavorless and quite dense, I probably won't use this brand again.

Sauce

It's Green Bay, so you know you have to have beer and cheese.

1/4 cup beer

1/4 stick of butter

1 TBSP flour

2 cups of cheese (I used a Monterey Jack & Cheddar blend)

Salt & Pepper

Whisk together in a sauce pan over medium heat. Add a pinch of this and a dash of that for desired consistency.

Toppings

Sauteed onion

Sliced bratwurst

Fresh corn

Sliced red chili pepper

Sauerkraut

We baked these bad boys for 10 minutes on 350. Straight out of the oven, we topped them with hot sauce and mustard. I would use a little less hot sauce next time, I was a bit heavy handed and The Doc and I were both sweating profusely about half way through the pie.

2014

I have been a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan for long enough that I remember being in the old NFC Central with the Green Bay Packers. There were many hard fought "Battle of the Bays." The Frozen Tundra offers up many great menu options.

I knew I had to do something with Bratwursts. If you know me, you know I love the sandwiches. My husband loves pretzel rolls. These two were perfectly harmonious.

Pretzel Roll Recipe:

Saute white onions with sliced bratwurst.

Load up onto a pretzel roll. We topped everything

with Dijon, white cheddar, and jalapenos.

The Naan Crisps are for the following dip!

We needed a side, and that side obviously needed to include two perennial Wisconsin staples: Cheese and Beer. This Beer Cheese Dip with Bacon filled the need perfectly. It was a bit on the salty side, but delicious just the same.

A dessert to make any Green Bay fan proud were these super easy Chocolate Pretzels. Just pick out the yellow and green M&Ms and you will be the hit of the Packer party.
